EU-GAP-Netzwerkkonferenz zur Wasserresilienz in der Landwirtschaft in Hamburg

The EU CAP Network Conference “Water Resilience in Agriculture: Innovation in Practice” will take place in Hamburg from May 19 to 21, 2026. The international in-person event is organized by the EU CAP Network and will bring together around 300 participants from all over Europe. The event language is English.

In view of increasing water scarcity, frequent extreme weather events, and growing demands for sustainable management, the topic of water resilience in agriculture and forestry is becoming increasingly important. The conference offers a platform to present practical, innovative solutions and promote exchange between practitioners, consultants, researchers, and administrators.

The focus is on concrete approaches to strengthening water resilience, including:

innovative management and adaptation strategies from agricultural and forestry practice
results from EU-funded projects, including EIP-AGRI Operational Groups, Horizon Europe and LIFE projects
digital technologies, soil and crop management measures, and nature-based solutions
Opportunities for transferring and applying successful practical examples more widely
The program includes specialist presentations, interactive workshops, practical case studies, and an innovation market where farmers, advisors, and researchers present their solutions.

Excursions are planned for May 19, during which regionally developed and tested solutions for water resilience will be presented. These are being organized by the Innovation Office of the Schleswig-Holstein Chamber of Agriculture, among others, and will provide direct insight into innovative approaches in the field.

The conference is aimed at, among others:

Farmers and forestry businesses
Agricultural advisors
Researchers and innovation mediators
Project participants from EIP-AGRI, Horizon Europe, and LIFE
Representatives from administration, education, and agricultural media
