Chamber of Agriculture once again awarded contract as innovation service provider for Schleswig-Holstein. Following a call for tenders in the fall of 2022, the Chamber of Agriculture was officially commissioned by the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Areas, Europe and Consumer Protection in December to continue its work as an innovation service provider in the agricultural sector in the new agricultural funding period. Carola Ketelhodt, head of the Innovation Office at the Chamber of Agriculture, is pleased about the continuation of her work: "We are starting with a fresh wind, new ideas and interesting new projects. We want to further expand our good network of actors, initiate supra-regional cooperations and promote digitalization, circular economy and projects for climate protection in the agricultural sector." In the future, there will be personnel reinforcement in the Innovation Office for the expanded area of responsibility.

Since 2014, the Innovation Office EIP Agrar SH has accompanied and supported actors, idea providers and so-called operational groups in the implementation of innovative ideas for more sustainability, climate protection and animal welfare in agriculture. In the current funding period, €12 million is available for such innovative projects in Schleswig-Holstein with EIP (European Innovation Partnership Agriculture). The 4th call for project ideas had taken place in fall 2022 and ended in December. Many new project applications were submitted. An expert jury will make the selection this spring, so that the selected project groups can start implementing their ideas in the summer. The next call for innovative projects is expected to start as early as September 2023.
