Project description

In order to close existing observation gaps between inspection rounds, to bring individual animals more into the focus of daily inspection and to objectively support person-based animal observation, interest in the use of digital assistance systems for automated early detection of abnormalities in the barn is also growing in pig farming.
The aim of the project is to develop a web app that can be used as an early warning system for tail biting in farming practice based on known early indicators at pen level. With the help of the early warning system, the farmer can become aware of an increased risk of tail biting in his animals at an early stage and react quickly with suitable countermeasures.
