In the 1st call in Schleswig-Holstein, 17 innovative projects were funded for the first time within the framework of EIP. They were dedicated to the topics of sustainability, productivity, knowledge transfer and networking between science, consulting and practice. In 2015, a total of more than 160 agricultural and horticultural companies in primary production worked together with advisors, researchers and veterinarians to enable laying hens to live longer, for example, while plant cultivation experts from practice, consulting and science tested new methods for better, more efficient nitrogen use in arable farming. The application volume for this call was €5.5 million.
