The 2nd call should focus on three topics:
- Digitalization in agriculture / arable farming and animal husbandry, respectively
- efficient use of nutrients / avoidance of nutrient surpluses
- Animal welfare / animal health and animal genetic resources.
The open approach ("bottom-up") desired in the EIP Agri program was not narrowed down. There was €4.5 million in funding available. The project ideas submitted were closely oriented to the needs of agricultural practice.
